A quiet day

Well after a very busy week with my family here from Tennessee today is a very quiet day. They have left to go back home. I already miss all the action from this week. Why is it that a work week goes by so slow but vacation time goes by so fast? We did have a good time spending the very short amount of time with them.
Brent had his first race this weekend. He finished 6th. Not to bad considering we are having a lot of troubles with the car. Brian is getting frustrated as he does not understand why it is not running right. His next race is April 12th at Roseville.
We are heading to Yosemite this weekend coming up for our 18th wedding anniversary. I can't wait, it should be a pretty nice weekend I hope. We are going to take our bikes to ride around the park. I will take a lot of pictures so that I can post some on my blog.
My aunt and my sister showed Brent and I a lot about our Blogsite and things that we can do, so I am staring to post new things. Dena I already changed my spring picture and my avatar by myself. Well I should go so that I can finish catching up on laundry and housework.

HAPPY EASTER

Just wanted to write and say Happy Easter. Hope everyone is enjoying their day. Well my Sister, Aunt and Nieces will be here from Tennessee tomorrow night. I am so excited. I have been looking forward to this week. I worked on Saturday so that I can now take Thursday off as well as Friday.

The boys went to Yosemite yesterday so they have not returned home yet. They should be home around noon to see what the Easter Bunny left for them. As for as me I am tiding up the house and Brian is working in the yard so that it will be presentable when my family arrives. Well I better run so that I can finish what I started.

Rough Day for the Curran House

Well today was the day we have been dreading for about 6 months now. We made the toughest decision to put our dog Oscar to sleep. We had not been able to get him to eat for the past 4 days. He had become very lethargic and unable to move around yesterday so we called the vet this morning and took him at 5pm today. The vet said that the best thing for him was to lay him to rest since it looked like things were starting to shut down. His pulse was very weak and his blood pressure and temperature were low. He would of been 18 in June. He was a great pet and we will dearly miss him. He is being cremated and placed at the facility where our other dog Tawny is. Jayme I am sorry that you will not be able to say goodbye, but the more time that would have lapsed the more pain he would have been in. I know that you will say a prayer for him tonight. I must go now and tend to my family as we try to cope with the loss of yet another loved one.

Rain Rain Go Away

Well it has been raining here again in "sunny" California. I just wish it would stop. I went on my business trip on Thursday. It was a great trip other than it was a very long day and I was very tired on Friday. Brent has mini cup training tomorrow at Roseville so we will have to miss the race at Bristol :( Go Junior!!! My family from Tennessee will be out here in 9 days. I can't wait to see them. The boys spent the night over at a friends last night so I was able to sleep in this morning. They should be making their way across the street here sometime soon as I told them that they would be cleaning their rooms today. Well I better go so that I can start my day.

The loss of a dear loved one

I am writing this blog today with a very heavy heart. We have lost a very dear member of our family. My husbands Grandma McGreevy has passed away. She passed away at her care facility yesterday at 1pm PST. I take great comfort in knowing that she has gone on to a much better place and is now in no more pain. We will dearly miss her. We were able to say our goodbyes to her on Sunday when we were notified of her decline in health.

For my family in Tennessee, arrangements are in process and I will keep you all informed. If you would like to send your condolences you may call Kathy directly. Let me know if you need an address or phone number.

Our new bathroom

Well I promised you all pictures of the new bathroom so here they are. It looks better up close and personal. I have come down with a cold just in time for my trip to LA. I hope I can get better before I have to fly. This weekend looks to be another weekend of getting our house put together in preparation of my Tennessee family arriving in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. Well its Survivor night so I have to go.

Webkins here I come

Well I now have joined in with Brent and Brandon and the rest of the US and I have a webkins. He is a Black and White kitty named Nervo. Brain laughs at me every time he sees me on it. I am going to be flying to LA next week for a business trip. We have a conference there and I am going to help at our booth. Anyway our bathroom is finally all finished so it will be ready for when my Aunt, sister and nieces come out to visit the end of this month. Pictures to follow. We are getting ready for our racing season to start here pretty soon. Opening day is March 29th in Roseville. We actually get to open for Nascar West Series. That should be exciting. Anyway I have to go now so I can spend some time visiting my webkins before my lunch ends. Chat with you later.
