Before you all start freaking out let me introduce you to my grand baby.
Her name is Shelby and she is Brandon's girl. He adopted her from ARF on Saturday. She is adjusting to her new home really well. She is confined to Brandon's room with all her necessities. He is so happy to have her.
Brent and his girlfriend Desiree have decided to part ways. They decided that the distance from her living in Indiana was to much for them to handle. I can honestly say it was probably for the best. They will remain friends and keep in touch. Brent went and practiced in his Babygrand last Friday and plans to practice again this Friday with the hopes of maybe getting to race in Stockton on Saturday. Here is a picture of the car.
As far as what else is going on things have not changed much. I am still unemployed and looking for a job. Brian's new contract is going through so that was good news. We did have a visit from our family from Japan. It was very nice getting to see them again. It had been 7 years since their last visit. Here are some pictures.
The boys have started back to school so it's back to a routine. Brandon was excited as he got the teacher that he wanted and Brent was excited to this year. Well that is it for now. Take care and have a great weekend.

OK Blog Police Settle Down
Hey All,
Well here it is Friday and I have just said goodbye to Brian's mom Kathy as she heads home from her visit with us. Well it has been a pretty busy summer so far. I am still out of work looking for a job but in the meantime I have been enjoying the time with my kids as they are on summer vacation. We have been to Marine World 3 times, Great America and just this Wednesday went to spend the day in San Francisco with my mom and Brian's mom.
Yesterday I went shopping for some clothes for our trip. Brian's mom gave me an early birthday present so that I could go shopping for my trip. We went to JC Penney's and I got a lot for the money I had.
Today we are going to my mom's for the day to assist her in getting things put together for a garage sale and then we are going to Stockton 99 to watch our friends the Hill kids compete in their racing divisions. Brent is with my stepdad for the weekend up at my stepdad sister's home in the Yosemite mountains so he won't be back until Sunday.
Well I better go get ready to go to my moms. Have a fun and safe 4Th of July.
Love,

Hi All
Hi Everyone,
Not much has changed here. Still looking for work. I guess you can say I have become the devoted school mom. Last week was pretty busy. I attended 2 field trips with Brandon. One to the A's game and 1 to John Muir House in Martinez. We had a good time both days. Brian is still working without a contract so far with AT&T. He thinks however something could still happen in August regarding the strike.
Brandon had another music concert last night. He did a wonderful job. He has improved so much since his first concert in January. He is still trying to decide whether he will play again next year. Brent is going through a rough patch right now. His girlfriend is scheduled to move to Indiana after school lets out next week. He is so confused right now on what they are going to do. They both want to keep their relationship but are not sure how realistically a long distance relationship will work. I feel so bad for them. They were looking forward to their summer together. All I keep saying is if it is meant to be it will be and letting him know that I am here for him.
Well that is it for now. Have a great day.

Hi There
Hello Again,
Well it has been a few days since my last post but not much has changed. I am still unemployed and Brian is still preparing for his labor stuff. My dad has returned home from his visit in Tennessee and we have taken up walking every morning. I have been dropping the kids off at school and then heading to his house to walk with him. It has been nice as I really needed to start to exercise.
Brian and I are heading to Monterey for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is not really until Tuesday but with Easter being that next weekend this was the best time to go. We have plans to go whale watching on Saturday morning so that should be a lot of fun.
Brent and Brandon will be staying here with my mom and they have plans to go see the 410 Sprint cars at Antioch Speedway on Saturday. They are really looking forward to that. Brent's girlfriend, Desiree is suppose to go with them again as she seemed to like the races this past weekend when we took her for opening night. She has now pretty much met the whole family as she got to meet Palpa on Monday. She has not gotten to meet Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Jerry as they are still on their cruise. They are scheduled to be back on Sunday and should be here next weekend for Easter so I am sure they will meet her then.
Well that's all for now. Hope everyone is well.
Love

Our Latest News
Hello all,
Well it has been a few weeks since my last post and nothing much has changed in my life. I am still out of work and still looking for a job. Brian is still going through his labor negotiations with his company with plans to strike on April 4th. We are hearing different rumors about no work stoppage to 4 months of work stoppage. I do not know what we will do if it goes past 2 months.
The boys have been racing their R/C Cars and having a great time. They seem to really enjoy it. Their spring break is coming up here starting on April 10th so they are really looking forward to that.
My dad has been in Tennessee visiting my sister, aunt, uncle and grandpa and while he has been away my step mom has been staying with us in the evenings as she does not like to be home at night by herself. She says she is such a big baby. It has been really nice having her here.
My oldest son Brent has a new girlfriend named Desiree. She is a very sweet girl who spent most of the last 4 days with us. She is from Amsterdam. She is 15 years old and a dancer.
Well that is all for now. I have some pictures from the boys' R/C racing that I will post later. Hope everyone is well and will post again soon.

It's been a long time
It has been a very long time since my last post and a lot has happened since then. On February 4Th I lost my job due to the relocation of it to Canada. I was not surprised to see it happen but I was not expecting it to happen so fast. I have been looking everyday and applying but there is so many people out of work right now it has been tough to even get interviews as there are so many qualified people out of work. I did have an interview here in Antioch yesterday for a Customer Service Rep position. I am suppose to hear back by the end of the week. It doesn't pay as much as I was receiving but with no commute it is a start.
Brian's company AT&T have started their labor negotiations so hopefully it goes well or he may be going on strike in April and who knows how long that might last.
I have to say that the boys are enjoying me not working especially Brandon as I can now take him to school. If I get this job in Antioch I will still be able to do that so he is crossing his fingers.
Brandon had a field trip on Tuesday that I was able to attend. We went to the Mission Delores in San Francisco. It was beautiful and we had a great time. I took some pictures which I will post later.
Brent has had to give up his racing career for this year due to me losing my job. He was very sad but he was also very understanding. We have heard that a lot of people in our racing club were upset that he will not be racing as they really like Brent and say he is a great driver and kid. We sold our trailer so if we are given the opportunity to race again we will have to invest in a open trailer which doesn't cost as much as a closed one.
The boys have now taken up R/C Racing as it does not cost as much as the big car does. Racing is in their blood so I guess another form doesn't hurt. They are planning to go practice on Sunday.
Well that is all for now. Hope all of you are doing well. Take care and leave me a comment or two.

Hello All,
Well thanks to my wonderful sister, Jayme I again have a new fantastic blog. Well the holidays are over and it is back to the norm. I am just getting over a very bad cold and sinus infection. I was down for the count all last week. I still have some congestion and cough left but all and all I am doing much better.
Brandon celebrated his 10th birthday last Sunday. I can't believe he is already 10. He was able to have his friend Kevin over for the weekend. I took the boys to see Marley and me. It was a good movie but very sad at the end. Brandon and I cried our eyes out.
Brent and Brian had Baby Grand school last Sunday. This was just to learn about the cars and different things in a classroom setting. He will be going to driving school on February 22nd. Brian is frantically trying to get the car ready for that day.
This weekend is a 3 day weekend for all of us as it is a Holiday for Martin Luther King's Birthday. Brian was suppose to work but requested the time off to be home with us. We do not have any plans at this time as I know Brian has a lot to do on the Baby Grand. It is probably going to be another quiet weekend for us.
The weather here has been awesome. We have had 70 degree weather all week. I feel bad for my sister, aunt, uncle and grandpa in Tennessee. They have been having below 10 degree weather and snow. I bet they wish they were here in "sunny" California right now.
Well I better go and get to bed so that I can be ready for work tomorrow morning. Talk to you all soon. Have a great weekend.
