Our Father's Day Weekend

We had a great time at Great America. We were able to ride everything and only waited 20 minutes at the most. Most of the rides we got right on. It was great weather also. Brandon rode everything that he was tall enough to ride including the Demon. The Demon is a fast paced roller coaster ride that has 2 loops and a corkscrew. He actually said that it was his favorite ride. I have posted some pictures that I took before my camera died. Brent spent the weekend with some friends so he did not go with us to Great America.

On Sunday we celebrated Fathers Day with Dale Jr winning the Nascar Race and then dinner at my dads. It was good eating's as always. We had my dad's favorite which was spaghetti and my Grandpa's favorite which was turkey and mashed potatoes. Needless to say we were stuffed.

Well I better go so that I can finish up my laundry before heading to bed for another work day.

Pictures from Brandon's awards assembly and Brent's Graduation

Brent's and Brandon's last days of School

Well the 2008 school year has come to an end. The boys are now on their summer vacation. Brandon has been promoted to fourth grade and Brent is moving on to High School.

The year came to a close with Brandon's award assembly on Tuesday the 10Th. He received an award for his reading and then he received an award for a character count of Trustworthiness. He was the only student in his class to receive the character count award. Good job Brandon.

Next was Brent's 8Th grade graduation on Wednesday June 11Th. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA. We are very proud of him. He now is moving to the next big step of his life HIGH SCHOOL. He is a little nervous but he says he will be fine. At this time he will be attending Antioch High School. The same High School his Dad, Aunt Jayme, Uncle Eric, and Cousin Justin graduated from.

Well I will be taking a day off tomorrow to spend some time with my boys. We have a big day scheduled for Saturday with a trip to Great America with some friends. Brent will actually be with a friend to attend a birthday party at an Arena Football game in Sacramento, so he won't be going with us to Great America. On Sunday it is a day to spend with Brian and the dads as it is Father's Day.

In close I want to wish my Brother-in-law Tommy, a Happy Belated Birthday. Wish we could of all been together to celebrate these special occasions. Gotta go now. Have a great weekend.

Our Weekend

Well I am blogging on my new blog site. I want to say thank you to my sister Jayme for taking the time to redo it. I love it.

Well this weekend was a weekend with no races for us. The boys went with my mom, Gary, Dave and Nancy to the Drag Races in Sacramento so Brian and I had a weekend by ourselves. I planned a garage sale for Saturday morning. We got rid of some things that we didn't need anymore. After the garage sale Brian and I went to the races at Antioch Speedway.

I had to work today for 4 hours and now I am at home doing laundry and things around the house. Brian is watching the Nascar race and taking some time to relax.

We have a very busy week planned this week. Brent's 8Th grade graduation on Wednesday, Brandon's awards assembly on Tuesday and then Great America on Saturday. I am taking some time off this week in order to be able to enjoy these festivities.

Well my laundry is ready to be folded so I better go. Have a great week.

Terrible Race Weekend

Hi All,
Well Brent raced his 5th race this last Saturday at Roseville. Let's just say it wasn't one of his best performances. He qualified 8th which meant he didn't qualify for the trophy dash. He was very disappointed which I believe set the tone for the rest of the evening. He started 8th in the A main and after losing 2 spots on a restart and then getting spun out he wound up 10th. On Sunday Dale Jr was in a big wreck at the beginning of the Sprint Cup Series race and wound up finishing 35th. What a terrible end to an already terrible race weekend. This weekend I am planning on having a garage sale on Saturday and then maybe go and visit my dad on Sunday.

This next Wednesday June 11th is Brent's 8th grade graduation. I can't believe that he is going to be in High School next year. I am so proud of how he has done this year and all of his years in middle school. He has made the honor role every semester since the 6th grade and right now has a 4.0 GPA.

Well I better go so that I can finish up my day at work and get home to take the dogs to the groomers.
